CNY gathering identified as missing link between two COVID-19 church clusters in Singapore

A link has been established between two COVID-19 clusters involving churches in Singapore. Cases 8 and 9 -- a couple from Wuhan -- arrived in Singapore on Jan 19 and attended a service at Life Church and Missions. They infected six people, including Case 91, who is married to Case 83. The pair had attended a Chinese New Year gathering at Mei Hwan Drive on Jan 25, forming a cluster of seven infected people. This includes Case 66, who later attended Grace Assembly of God, where an additional 16 people were infected. Health authorities said this provides assurance that the two clusters are now under control and not a result of widespread community transmission.
